In December 2009, after thirteen years of business in the Chuo Ward of Tamatsukuri, Osaka, we made the big move to another part of Osaka called Asahiku, Shinmori.
We also took the opportunity to open up something that we had longed for ever since we first started TRUCK, the AREA2 shop, the workshop, and Atelier Shirokumasha – a cafe, called Bird, where our customers could come and relax at. We spent two and a half years making the plans and building up our perfect space surrounded by trees before opening it. Everything from the building itself to the big, lush trees and brick walls was designed and built from scratch, creating our cozy, green space.
